- Family Law Paralegal
Description
Ramsey County Bar Association Placement Service is seeking an experienced paralegal for a reputed law firm specializing in Family Law, with offices in Maplewood and Plymouth. The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience working as a paralegal in family law and will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to attorneys throughout the legal process.
Duties
- Assist three attorneys who focus on family law, HRO/OFP's. Appellate and Juvenile Law.
- Assist attorneys/ mediators in the alternative dispute resolution process, like mediation, FENE/SENE, and arbitrations.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings related to family law cases.
- E-Filing and E-Service
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and organize documents for discovery production.
- Manage case files through document management systems
- Meet with clients and gather pertinent information.
- Maintain communication with clients regarding case updates and necessary documentation.
- Assist with discovery demands and organize documents for discovery production
- Prepare balance sheets and run child support calculations
Skills
- Proficiency in all aspects of family law. Must have at least 5 years of experience working as a paralegal in family law.
- Strong organization and writing skills with attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced organization.
Compensation: Dependent on Experience = $70,000-$100,000 per year.

Schedule/Location: Generally, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Mon-Fri. This is primarily a remote position, although the firm has offices in both Maplewood and Plymouth for in-person meetings, when required.
